When Two Lists Mean One Thing
One mathematical outcome may have several descriptions or orderings; when every true outcome is represented the same number of times, divide by that multiplicity.
What you'll learn
- Decide whether two ordered descriptions represent different outcomes or the same outcome.
- Group duplicate descriptions and identify how many represent each true outcome.
- Divide an overcount only after checking that the multiplicity is uniform.
